Hell yeah! I'll see what I can do. Depending on which way you go into Myrtle Beach, highway 9 (I think?) comes in from the north side. For a long ways, it's 4-lanes of very little cops and open road for some hauling ass. In my experience, anyways. :p

edit: Also, highway 17 is pretty open too. It merges with 9 and that takes you right into the heart of Myrtle Beach.

I would also highly recommend the US 17/I-40 route. It is the fastest way off I-95 into Myrtle Beach. Also, this route will shoot you south and east at the same time.

I think this may be a pointless post though b/c I think I may have recalled hearing Gio say at one of the Wednesday meets that a dry run of the route was already made. In regards to the post about a road being good to haul ass on, the High Rollers Run is NOT a speed contest. Its just a group of exotic car owners out on the open highway enjoying the sights of what their country has to offer them while getting a big tax writeoff in the process that helps out homeless children.

It was not intended that way. It was just an afterthought, considering some people will be up for hauling ass. Also, I meant it was a good route to cut time and have fun. If someone wants to do a quick run to 130 then back to the speed limit, it's a fairly open area from what I remember traveling on it. I all to well remember the disclaimers on the Teck movies. :)

It's just, my family has this thing about setting cruise on 9 above the speed limit on every highway they drive.. [smilie=sorry.gif]

I'm in too, just trying to figure out which car to bring:

Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo
Porsche 944 S2
or
Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V

The 300ZX would be the best becase it's the fastest, however no storage room. That's probably going to be the one!

lol, just throw everything in a nice, durable plastic bag and strap it to the top of the car :D

Is it $2000 per car (two people) or is it $2000 per person thus $4000 for both people. Anyone that knows please let me know.

Looks like the car will be the 96 300 ZX Twin Turbo.

Do what that idiot did on The World's Dumbest Drivers. Pack everything under the hood, including a full tank of propane. It worked for him....till the cops pulled him over.

GIO

In a rally the organizers give you only start and the ending. When you start that's when you find out where your next checkpoint is. It's a mystery. That way you use your head or navi to navigate to that location.

Due to the recent hurricanes, the High Rollers Run has been delayed until next year. Some ventues have been damaged and the approaching hurricane is not helping. It's unfortunate but there's nothing we can do.
