View Full Version : 2006 BMW 3-Series
Here's what the new 2006 3-Series is going to look like. I personally think it looks ugly. The front is so-so, but the taillights as ugly as hell. I hope they don't make the M3 look like this.

Mixed feelings on it. The interior is awesome and clean, the back-end is questionable IMO.

it's a change, but it's not anymore radical than any other progressive bmw designs. the kidneys are straight off the 6series. I'm like the headlights, though

This one is going to need some extra mods by the car enthusiasts to help the appearance...

That's not a stock 6-series, it's the AC Schnitzer 6-series.

Sooooo hurting... if the M3 is anything like that BMW buys will need to get a better kit for it aftermarket to hopefully fix the looks up a bit. Interior is nice though!

BmW's are just getting uglier as the years go by...the e46 M dominates, everything designed after that besides the 7 is ugly imo

I'm gonna be the one.
That is, other than the 6, the best Bangle design IMO.. can't wait to see what they've got up their sleeves for the post-Bangleistic design though!

I actually like all the new Bimmers with the exception of the Z4...though this 3 is at the bottom of the list...
I get a little moist when a 6 passes me :hitit:

I thought it might grow on me but it's not!
My mom has a 2000 Z3....I wouldn't ever drive it (too girly for me) but I like them more than the new Z4. The Z4 is so boring...there are no curves or lines, it looks like all the other boring cars IMO.

......like I said.
:wtf: I can count four distinct lines on the side and it is full of curves... you are going to have to back up your claim with more than "Like I said"...

i dunno i happen to think the Z4 is acceptable. Front is kinda lame, tail is cool. Sides are weird. The car is different... BMW wise its M3 DUH!

On the 1 series thing. Yes and No. BMW is supposed to release a 2 series so I've heard, there supposed to release one into the US. It's the US version of the 1 series.
If I'm not mistaken.
I really dont like how the new 3 looks. not too much.

Uhh, I'll stick with my E46. Profile reminds me of a Acura TL, Front View reminds me of a Pontiac, Rear reminds me of a Honda Accord.

BMW is sinking... Quick.
Looks so freaking sick from the side, but the headlights look Japanese and the taillights look ridiculous.

We need to send this thread to BMW so they can see what mistakes they've made
Well friends, I'm afraid BMW has decided to make the E90 M3 ugly as well:

Personally, I love the look of the new E90 M3. I am planning on putting a deposit on either that car or the new RS6.

I agree since I have heard several rumors that the new RS6 will have the Gallardo V-10 engine pushing out over 500hp.

I thought the E46 M3 was the ultimate in BMW styling, I dont know why they want to ruin it :(

Yeah, and the previous M5 :( BMW is going downhill.....
Not sure if these are photoshopped or not........some of the guys on the BMW forums are saying they are. Everytime I see a picture of a new E90 I get sad :(

It's quite ricerish.
I was at a BMW meet last night. About 30 or so BMW's and about 50 people, and the topic of the E90 came up. Not one person said they liked it.

It's okay Joel, just wait another... six years. With a Masters in Automotive Design. I'll be head of the design team for BMW =)
IMO, this will be exactly like the 5-series. At first we don't like it, but then it grows on us.
I think you're right on that man.
But right now, I don't like it too much.

It's official, I hate every single new BMW (aesthetically speaking)
Can't they just restart production of the E30 M3?
They were mumbling some nonsense about a cam-less system in the new 3? Did they actually go do that? What's next, transwarp drive? You need an overweight Scotsman in a red jumpsuit present to modify a BMW these days...sheesh. And what does it weigh? 3500lbs? more?
Not that I don't agree the new M5 is badass, I'm just not too keen on looking at the thing.

Wow, I couldn't agree with you more. The other day I was in the car with my friend and a 6 series pulled up next to us. I was in mid sentence, something like "Yeah, so we were walking, OH MY GOD!" lmao
note: I just realized how old the post is that I quoted... Oh well.
