Time to sell my baby :(

As much as i dont want to, I gotta....

It's a 1994 Vintage Red PEP RX7. It has 75K orginal miles, and the seals were redone by a mazda master tech at 40K miles. the only additional stuff add'd to this car is silicone hoses, Newer AST (not aftermarket but new one), 5% window tint all around, all 4 speakers were replaces with JBL since the old ones sounded like crap, and ill be taking the touch screen out (i need the navigation) but i will get a new cd player put it. Everything that was done to this car was by a prof. and not by me. The car was also prof detailed by a friend who does exotic car detailing, it was waxed, glazed, and 2 coats of polish, and 1 coat of sealant, That was done in the begining of summer, so the paint is nice and bright. Also the engine is very clean.

It was just inspected yesterday (thursday) and passed with no problem, i just replaced all 4 tires as well. The breaks in the back were redone about 3 weeks ago, and still has a little extra on the pads so those will go with the car. Oil change was done about 1k miles ago. i have all my reciets for everything, (except for the tint, since its illegal precent here, but it was prof done)

This car was brought to KDR Performance in PA for a tune up, Compression test, and he checked the whole car over for me. everything went great. compression test was real good, and he said there was nothing wrong at all. He also said he knows the guy that did the seals in my car and that he did a great job.

im the 3rd owner of the car, i bought this last year from Somers CT. from a guy names jesse who had 2 more of his own FD's. hes a mazda master tech and also had his own shop. so if anyone knows him they can talk to him about the car, also feel free to ask dave about my car since i was just there in april, he will remember me.

There is not one single problem with this car, it never once had a mechanical problem, ive used mobile 1 syn. oil all the time, and always used 91/93 gas in it. it still has the orginal floor mats that are in good shape, the car was cleaned all the time, (at least once a week) for the local thursday night car show.

2 minor things are thres a very small rock chip in the front winshield from the night i picked up the car, it happened on the freeway, i never fixed it cause its very small and isnt bad, also someone stole my front emblem, but i will order a new one to replace that.

The reason i have to sell this car is because when i got the car i didnt think i would be goin to college, but things changed and i have the chance to go. i wouldnt be able to afford to take keep it.

so as much as i dont want to, i need to sell it soon as possible.

Not to offend, but 16k is waaaaaay too much for that car IMO. It is a fantastic car, and in great shape, but it is still a 12 yr old car. I could get an srt4 for that much.

Yeah but its a stock and very well cared for FD. Depending on how fast you want it gone will determine the price. I have seen these go for 16-17k before. But who knows...

Also if you have it in about 2 months I may have a buyer but he has to get outta school first.

The average price is actually not that far off. These cars have gone way up in value over the past couple years. I'll be honest, 16k is a little bit high for the original motor with new seals but its a good starting point. Be open to offers though. If you want to buy an SRT4, buy an srt4. The RX7 is a completely and totally different beast then the srt4. The only thing they have in common is that they are both fast.

As an experienced RX7 owner I'll put in my 2cents on this whip. The condition of this car looks amazing, especially the fact that its a 94 is a big a bonus. You really dont see many near stock RX7's around anymore, especially not with interior and exterior in such nice shape. I bought my rx7 with a beat exterior and interior and it is a pain in the ass to fix that up because of the price of interior parts. The only thing that could detract from the sale is the lack of reliability mods apart from the AST. A boost gauge is pretty necessary on stock sequential to make sure your not spiking and boosting correctly. But a $70 gauge isnt really a deal breaker, but you might want to install one before you sell it to verify it is 10-8-10 boost pattern.

KDR is the foremost rotary shop in PA/OH - Im taking my car there next summer to get my PFC tuned after getting dozens of recommendations by other owners. So if they say its a good engine then it most definetly is.
