Hey guys.. I've been lurking for a while now and finally registered. Some of you may know me from other forums. Anyway, I'm from Roanoke VA and I drive a 2003 silverstone gray 1.8T GTI. Are there any big meets coming up? We're having a VW/Audi GTG here in Roanoke on November 6th if any of you are interested. Should be 40-50 VW's if it turns out anything like last year. I'd really like to meet all you guys, so hit me up sometime!

Feel free to IM or PM me for details about our Roanoke GTG. I'd love for you guys to come.

there is a big 1 up here in NoVA. its the first friday of every mo. the last 1 turned out 250-300 cars and there is very little rice. check the events section for more info.

the vw group "homegrown" meets up at fairfax town center every friday but that is a hike from roanoke..you are looking at a 4 hour drive.

I'm familiar with the NoVA VWvortex gtg's, and VA Beach area gtg's too.. They get together far more often than we do here, but it would be nice to see some new faces. Not necessarily just looking to hang out with VW owners/drivers.. I just don't like distasteful cars, or distasteful people. :p

I see you like to keep a few around the place too, dontcha? I've had an '84 GTI project, '84 16v Scirocco, '89 16v GTI, '90 Wolfsburg Jetta, '95 GTI VR6, '01 Jetta, '03 1.8T GTI.

Got any plans to turbo the R? I know HPA's kit is a rip-off, but you could slap a GTS-61 on her and call it a day... :D

yea im Autobahn Bred on every forum. forget HPA i cant afford their kit. im considering the EIP Stage 1. I already have some EIP goodies installed. I just bought a clean 90 GTI off of this old lady who really took care of the car and had it dealer maintained with all the service records. a 1.8T swap would make it perfect.
