Ok what is the best one out there? I saw at Wally World that they had TOCA 3 for $19.95.

Anything comming out??? I wish they had a GT3 level game out there for PC's.

Thinking about also picking up the Logitec MOM wheel....

Haven't played a driving PC game since NFS: Hot Pursuit.

That's not what he asked for was it?

And I didn't really like TOCA 3 at all.. But that's me. For realistic pc driving games I would try some of the rally games like Richard Burns etc.

Completely free, and pretty fun, you can fly off the tracks into grass and such. I installed it and played like twice. It seems to be big on NASIOC OT.

GTR FIA Racing ftw. absolute racing simulation. I had it but you need a steering wheel to play it because using anything that isn't pressure sensitive is impossible cause when you turn the car just turns the wheels to full lock and you wreck lol. Plus you need pedals for the same reason. So if you got a decent steering wheel and pedal setup you're golden. Awesome game though, check it out at http://pc.ign.com.

Ok what about PS2 emulators to play PS2 games on a PC?

Anyone done this?

(really want to play GT3 on my PC)

you beat me to it^

Its exactly what your looking for... go get yourself a good wheel with 6 speed shifter and 3 pedals (a clutch). This game is about as real as it gets. I play it way a PS2 style controller. Everything works great except its hard to modulate the clutch while doing everything else with your hands so I suggest you leave the clutch work on auto unless you have a pedal.

Anyways its very real, blow tires, transmissions, engines, over heat, crash hard and your out, you can have something like 60 cars on track. Tires scrub around corners, certain parts of the track are slicker than others etc... you can't just redline your car constanlty either... you have to drive smart so you don't blow your car up before the race is over. If someone knows a good program to capture gameplay etc... i'll record a lap of hard driving.

That one that's supposed to be uber realistic on the computer. live for speed? that might not be it. I don't remember the name but you should play that one.

NFS Most Wanted is a great game.

I made an X-Box controller for my PC. Snip the cable of a controller and the male end of a USB cable, solder them together, get a driver (XPCD. Google it. You'll get directions too.) Works wonderful.

Here is a link to the brand of pc wheel I use, it is the most realistic one I have seen. There are alot of actual drivers that use this wheel, they are pricey though. I have the TWS2 Modified w/usb.

That's not what he asked for was it?

Yes. In a roundabout way, I answered his second question. By stating that I hadn't played a PC driving game since like 1997, that's another way of saying that there aren't many good PC driving games in my opinion. Since when does TE stay on topic, anyway?
