240sx (with boost problem) vs. ls-1 Trans Am

Well, with the relatively nice weather here in MN now, I'm back to driving the 240 around most of the time. With the new motor and everything, it's running well enough to, well, run (lol) but it's still pretty sketchy. I need to go on the dyno again to smooth everything out and figure out this damn boost issue. I am getting more lag and not even hitting full boost. I don't know what it is, but I usually don't get past 10psi and it's really been pissing me off.

Anyways, I'm cruising on the highway on my way home when a ls-1 trans am convertible rolls up on me. He kind of looked over at my car and I looked back at him. He had some rims, exhaust, and maybe a few other things, who knows. I'm in the mood to play around and kind of let him know that. He understood and kind did a little fly by deal. So, I catch back up, pull next to him and drop it into 3rd and coast a long. I hear him drop it and step on it and see his front end lift up. I punch it too. We're even up until my turbo spools and I slowly start pulling from him. Normally, I'd easily walk him but my turbo was having issues making boost so I was just slowly pulling on him. Funny thing is, we started coming up on traffic but still stayed in it and I pulled it onto the shoulder to shut down. :lol: The dude in the right lane looked over like, "wtf, did he break down or something?" :lol: I just slowed down and got back into the lane once I let the truck past. I think the guy in the firebird was a little shocked. :D

haha awesome! yea passing on the shoulder isnt cool. i do it all the time though haha.

yes, it will be a ls-1 with a single turbo....it will start once winter comes again and hopefully we'll have it running by next spring/summer. :D

MTI 427 stroker!! Friend of mine had them do his LS-1 and it was f'ing crazy. Then he went and added a D1SC procharger and it was just retarded!!

locally a 280z with an RB26dett ran a z06 vette that had intake, exhaust, and a tune, z06 pulled out the win bye about a half a car @ 120+mph. the rb26dett just had exhaust, FMIC, boost constroller, and intake. still i wasnt impressed
