just curious. I stopped by on my way back from woodbrigde VA and talked to some people for a few minutes. there wasnt that many people and it was aroudn 11pmish. I saw a honda getting towed, a cop car with no pig in it. and when I went around the lot I found the cop yellin at a guy in a blue wrx who was diagonal in the middle of the street (I think the cop made him stop right there) . after that I parked by starbucks told to some guys and they said everyone was leaving because the cops were giving out tickets for whatever they could. I left after that like they did and was calm about it. I make a left out of the intersection and when I do that a cop starts following me. it follows me and turns its lites on 1/4 mile before the 270 on ramp. and gives me a ticket for not having a working tail lite! it wasnt out it jsut wasnt bright enough she said and I have one RIGHT NEXT TO IT. this is really fucked up. ok once in hanover pa I got a ticket for having my High beams on in the city that is more fucked up. but I feel that this is some sort of harassment. almost like racial profiling but profiling by what I drive. shouldnt there be a law that stops this bullshit. who is with me??

not only that, but ive been up there a couple times, and they act dumb as shit, i kinda dont blame the cops for writing tickets, sorry it had to happen to you its some bullish it happened, but you also werent causeing any trouble, when ever we went we parked at the top of the garage to stay out of site, and watch the cops roll through

its still not enough to keep me from speeding on roads where there is 1 car every mile. I hope they are reading this too. and if they are as for all these deaths going on in mogo co. street racing isnt going to die out as long as there are cars. if they wanna do something about it they should take some of their "parklands" or abandon warehouse areas and turn it into a big parking lot or course for us to goto

I go to starbucks all the time with my friends... well, not as much as I used to. I just like going because everyone looks at my car and my buddy's cars.
The cops here have been real anal lately because of all those kids killing themselves. I've definatly started driving slower and more carefully because of the fact that the cops are bringing more attention on guys with soooped up cars.
On Thursday nights, there are bike meets there. One Thursday night, I drove on a 2 miles stretch on Montrose and I saw 4 bikes pulled over at different places, and 1 Mustang GT pulled over as well. ALL IN DIFFERENT PLACES ON THAT STREET. I decided that if you don't act stupid do dumb stunts in the parking lot, the cops won't care about you.
Also, if your real paranoid, there's a parking garage next to the Hudson Trail Outfitters. you could park in there, leave your car there and walk to where all the other cars are. When the cops come and kick everyone out (like they usually do), just go into starbucks, wait a few minutes till everyone is gone, take your car and leave.
Anyways, that's some advice and my views on starbucks.

I dont think there is any real way to prevent getting pulled over at any of the big car meets whether it be in fairfax for rockville other than not going. I had a friend that he and I left the last dragva meet to go to burke and when we came back to pick up his car, a cop followed him out and gave his STOCK car a ticket. I was luckly in my saturn rather than the rx7 because I probably would have gotten one two for no reason.
The problem is that cops believe that it is all kids that drive these cars so they think that they can give you a ticket and you will be so scared that you wont fight it. I am ALL FOR giving tickets for people who get caught racing or endangering others (its just the risk you take) but this shit is more resembling a nazi police state rather than a democratic country. I am just waiting for them to pull over a import enthusiest who is or gets a lawyer and sues the counties for harrassment. This "stopping people for any reason you can think of" HAS TO STOP

in my area, a friend of mine gets pulled over constantly for nothing, one day he got pulled over and the cop said " it looked like yu were going 75ish ", al by the same cop, my friend said it looked like? you dont have a radar? well the cop let him off, and he went to the police station, and told the head honcho, that he was being harrassed, well needless to say he hasnt been pulled over since, he also said he was tired of descrimination towards imports, and if he got pulled over for nothing again he was sueing for harassment

i agree about if you get caught you deserve it when racing or speeding. I have no problem if someone gives me a ticket for that. but I am tired of this racer profiling.

the should give racers an area for racing however. if they did that for those that dont have the money to go to a track like MIR or Summit point they wouldnt have to worry about us as much and they could goto other areas of rockville and actually do the county some good. LIKe find some drug dealers or rapists. hell I becha they come out around the same time.

the sick thing is, the police departments have become revenue generators rather that law enforcement. The counties probably make a killing off of giving out these crap tickets to import owners.

like exhaust too loud its like thats just noise polution just lemmie get out of here and no one will have to hear me ...stupid stuff like that
The only way they could give a ticket is for noise pollution for the systems, loitering only if there was a NO LOITERING SIGN which if there wasn't you guys can appeal.

I don't go up to Bucks anymore. A few friends and I started a spot in Columbia off 175 at the Hard Times Cafe to get away from that crap. My friend got a ticket for his car, he has an air ride (show car only) and took it up there to sell. We were walking around and came back, a cop had is car blocked and was waiting for him while he was walking around. When we got to the car the cop told him his car was too low (no duh it was sitting on the ground) and started to give him a ticket. Well the smart ass my friend is he jumped in his car and flipped the switches so it went to factory height. The cop started walking around trying to give him tickets for whatever he could. There was a sag in the middle of his rear bumper, cop said that was a hazard and would fall of and got him for that too! It was sad. Next night I went I got a citation for 'disturbing the peace' because my friend had me on his back. I wasn't doing ANYTHING! They are really getting sad about all this!

i was up there this past saturday. it wasn't too bad. it was nice b/c none of those mexicans w/ their music blairing and revving and shit were there. it was mostly quality and nicely done quick cars. there was maybe 50-70 cars. no cop trouble at all either. i think the cops have scared all those mexicans away.

It's off 175 in Columbia. To be exact its:
Hard Times Cafe
8865 Stanford Blvd
COLUMBIA, MD 21045
From 95 turn left (from 29 turn right) on Dobbins RD (theres a Walmart in the shopping center off 175) it will be the 3rd shopping center on your left when you turn in. It's Friday and Saturday nights from 9-whenever. We park in the corner by the road so you can see us when you come. I will be there hopefully both nights this weekend. If you need any further info or get lost or what not, call me up 240-994-9520.

from what I have read in the MD vehicle laws you can almost do anything to your suspension. it states there is no limit to lowering ( but if you scrap the ground that can be damaging the road) BUT YOU CANNOT RAISE YOUR VEHICLE TO WHERE YOUR HEAD LITES ARE OVER 24 INCHES IN HEIGHT. a cop in frederick tried to give me a ticket for altering my suspension and I told him to tell me the type of car i drive (merkur xr4ti) and he said it was a suped up escort. I told him if he gave me a ticket I would pull that law out on him and complain to his cheif about harassment. stupid pigs. granted some can be cool but others are like people who go to clubs just to act hard and try to start fights

im lucky my car is a sleeper lookin car and i dont do dumb shit around hot areas but thats one of the probelems these days, you can be the safest driver and still be hassled cuz of the looks of youre car, and we can use the excuse that the looks of the car represent who we are and if cops are harrassin us because of our cars then in fact it would be harrassin us two, im a burnout and that last sentence makes sence to me i hope it does to youall too

Lil ash deep words and since u my dog i know how u feel cuz shit like that happens everyday i call it automotive discrimination cuz cops just pull you over not cuz of your racial prefrence but because of your ride, there just jealous bitches that hate all automotive artists who use their cars as blank canvases and add to it to make it a unique work of art.

LMAO, Well i have a SS and have never been pulled over for anything dumb, hell even when driving with open headers in rockville no problem, most cops give a thumbs up and a wave. i think its the ricers that are getting pulled over. and when i do get pulled no ticket at all. got pulled for 136 in a 55mph and cop gave me a ticket for 55 in a 55. and told me to slow down. Notice when you go to most of these meets that you only hear the imports and there damn BOVs. maybe if they sit and chill and stoping acting like such lil kids then u wont be getting pulled over. hope i did not offend anyone but just speaking the truth.
