Can they be registered here in the states? How would I go about getting one? They sell them in Mexico for $11,900, brand new, and I was thinking about going down there and buying a 206 that's a few years old.

I'm sure they can, but it'd be just like importing a Skyline... If you want to buy and crash a dozen for the gov't, then make all the necessary changes blahblah....
BTW, the new 907 concept is teh hotness.

You can but you won't be able to retain your title. In short, you won't be able to sell it again. I met a guy you who bought an S3 from Mer-hico, and that's what happened. He lives in Cali but registered it in Idaho for some reason.
Personally, I would love to drive a French car :)

I got to drive some in Gremany, they are nice. I was thinking about gettin something like that, a rare import vechicle, just to get the ruberneck factor.

Yup... So I couldn't take it to Me-hico to sell it again?
All I needed to know is if I can register it without getting a show-and-race license only for it and only be able to drive it 2500 miles a year... I knew a guy who was thinking about getting a Evo III (or was it II) and he couldn't register it. Thanks for the replies :D

ahgahghahg You can get the 206 in Mexico... Which is about 10 hours away from where I am. I'd definately drive down there and get one, I don't have the money to ship a car from Europe or Japan... That's why I drive a Civic. :P

And Resident: I live in the US. I don't think someone could register the car for me in Europe and that be valid when I get pulled. The US (I'm guessing you don't live here seeing you drive a Honda Integra R) has strict laws on everything as far as cars go. Sure, I could pull the "No, officer, it's a Ford Focus" to an ignorant cop, but I doubt the registrars and assessors office will have a hard time giving me my tags when they see my VIN.
