Here's the story again....

"We had a company called Porn Star Clothing.
I met Teck2 at NOPI 2001, During the 911 aftermath.
He gave me some crappy video his brother made.
I took it and made it better with Dustin.
We sold Porn Star and started Teck, I wanted a name that had nothing to do with Porn.lol
Originally “Mischief” was called “Cars Gone Wild” and was a Porn Star Movie.
Porn Star was starting its own Import Racing group, but we sold it before it jumped off.
The Ching Poa is 2 T's back to back, for Teck Tuned tt.
We called it the Ching Poa cause that’s what we called ricer graphics that meant nothing.
I guess it turns out to stand for 'Air Raid" in Chinese
Then I got on the horn and called all my contacts and got movie, apparel and tuning licenses.
So we had a good start.
Some people think it was some kids in a garage with nothing.
HSR is my Brother and Cofounder of Porn Star, now he has Hyper Street Racing, the ultimate Ricer Co!
We new it was going to be big, because we go big.
We are from the skate industry, in that industry you are trained to be core and to be different.
The import industry is a bunch of garage minded clowns who follow each others ideas, no one stood up for street racing.
We thought that was bullshit and came out saying, we street race so fuck you!
Dado really helped with being who he is, and the support at DTM, That we over grew, or out welcomed our stay.
The Army was kind of the last straw, that got too big too fast.
Now we just are the TE Forum members and enjoi Teck for what it is. The Army is us, we just don’t start battles anymore.
If someone want’s to fight, we have a special ops group, you know who you are.
Teck is a company that does not give a crap about the industry, and a company who cares for its peeps.
It turned into a huge club in a way.
No other company has the President spending countless hours on the forums and sharing with the members.
Some call it marketing, I call it fun..
Mischief has gone platinum, we have a video game coming out holiday 05..
We have all you guys and Its just getting better.
No one can stop us, NO ONE!!!!!!!"

Interview i did with dustin ...

Teckademics was formed in April 2002. The word Teckademics was a work scribble on a napkin on night in a bar. Teckaedemics means "a higher learnign and fine tuning of skills." We have produced to successful street racing DVDs: "Mischief" came out in May and "Mischief 3000" came out in November. We are based out of Irvine, ca. and Gaithersburg. My name is Dustin Worles and I am 25. I am currently working at my dream job right now. I love cars and I love producing movies. I have found a way to combine 2 of my favorite things and make a living off of it. It wasn't easy. I have been ripped off of thousands of $$ a bunch of times in a four year period. This type of business is hard to be successful in.

1) A little bit about your background. Education,
experience, technical background.

- Went to several grade schools around the world because my father was in the military. I attended Charles County Community College for 2 years and got my Assoc. Arts Degree. I then finished up college at the Arts Institute of Pittsburg. I majored in Film and Video production.

2) What channels of distribution are currently being
used by Techademics? What channels do your products
go through to get to your customers? IE:
Agent/Broker, Wholesaler, Retailer?

-Our DVD/video distributor is Ventura located in Los Angeles. Without a major distributor, we would not be able to get our movies into major retail chains like Wal Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy, etc. We also have Duke Video distribute our movies in the Eurporean and Australian market.

-Our videos and DVDs are produced at a company Video Action Sports & shipped off to our distributor. From there our movies are shipped to retail chain warehouses or shipped to our overseas distributor. Then they are trucked to different stores and ready purchase.

3)What problems have you had w/ distribution of your
products? Where have you found opportunities w/ the
distribution of your products?

-Actually, we have had problems with our distributor itself. We haven't had any distribution problems. Distributors are like record companies. We are like a rockband. The distributor makes most of the money. The problems that we have with our distributor is that they are very greedy and we are always finding them overcharging us or charging us for stuff that we shouldn't have to pay for. Our movies are the best selling titles that our distributor carries but they are always trying little scams to make more money from us.

4) What problems have you had w/ warehousing of your
products? What opportunities have you found w/
warehousing of your products?

-Well the demand for our 2nd video that came out in November was much more than expected that they were on back order. This helped us because the stores bought larger amounts when they placed their second orders.

5) What problems have you had w/ advertising of your
products? What opportunities have you found w/
advertising of of your products?

-Actually we advertised our products for free - by use of the internet. Since our videos deal with Street Racing culture, we concentrated on releasing movie trailers and info to different automotive forums around the world. We partcipated in forum discussions, and took people's suggestions. It showed that we aren't just after these kids' money. We actually support this scene and we are willing to listen to new ideas and concepts.

-Teckademics also threw a free Mischief 3000 release party at the Dream nightclub in Washington DC. We invited all the forums and car clubs to come out for free and party with us. It was successful. We had about 5000 people show us throughout the night. This also showed that we aren't just out for kids money.

6) What problems have you had w/ sales training? What
opportunities have found had w/ sales training?

-There are basically 2 of us who run the company. The main owner is Sean Murphy. He is based in Irvine, Ca. He is an awesome marketing person. He handles everything. I just do the fun stuff. I do most of the filming, editing, directing, stunts, and some marketing.

7) What problems have you had w/ customer relations?
What opportunities have you found w/ customer
relations?

-With only Sean answering all complaints and customer problems, he sometimes gets overwhelmed. We are working on getting more help to handle customer relations.

8) What is your goal for % increase in sales for the
upcoming fiscal year? What is your goal % of market
for the upcoming fiscal year? What are your overall
sales goals for upcoming fiscal year?

-We are planning to double our production of movies next year. We have actually made money in our first year. We have a bunch of new products coming out and plan to triple or profits in 2003.

9) What new products are you hoping to introduce in
the upcoming fiscal year and why?

-We are introducing a clothing line aimed at the Street Racing. Sean use to own Porn Star clothing which is still popular in the Skate Boarding scene. He hopes our clothing line will be just as successful. we are also coming out with a skateboard line, a Puma shoe line, and most likely a video game deal with Microsoft. All this in less than a year.

10) What market changes do you anticipate for the
upcoming fiscal year?

-Next year will be good for our videos because of the street racing movie, "The Fast and the Furious II" is coming out. They basically do all the marketing for us. Street Racing movies are all the rage nowaday. Their are going to be more competition. We are currently the best selling video of our kind.

11) What are some of the profile characteristics of
your existing customers/target market? Ex: Age?
Race? Gender? Activities? Interests?Lifestyle?
Needs? Motives? Perception? Influence? Opinions?

- Ages 16-30
- all races
- both genders
- automotive sports (?)
- street racing lifestyle
- educate the kids on the dangers of street racing. They are going to do it anyways so we encourage them to leave the races on the track.

12) What statistical data are you using in your
marketing approach?
