The first one sucked and I heard the ones that followed sucked. I guess we won't be doing media coverage again.

Hmmm...

the baltimore convention center is definitely a good location for a car show, providing they hold it in the basement (the basement goes underneath the road and stretches for 2 city blocks)

This has to make me wonder though if I wanna drive downtown, pay the parking fee, and walk the 3 blocks to the center only to not get my money's worth.

Anybody else know anything about this show??

We were talking to them but they seem to be disorganized with things. Haven't gotten a reply yet. Plus they are competeing against IMSTAR which is the week before. And then Nopi Nationals. And after that eveyone will be pretty carshow tapped out.

Car registation was 50 bucks, So I figure that's a decent price. Would be about 30 or so with tickets and parking so what's an extra 20.

I'm using it as an opportunity to get judged so I'm ready for HIN in AC. That in Oct. We'll see, worst case scenerio the car get another good cleaning and I have an excuse to spend more money on mods :)

NCCA is judging so you should see the usual cars that are in the points chase.

There's a really huge gap in the points race. Anyone else heard that HIN AC is 3x points?

According to the NCCA forum, HIN AC is a 3X event.

The thing that sucks about the shows in Baltimore, like when HIN came here last year and the World of Wheels, shows like that, is that it's always the same cars. Vivid Images, FX, and Exotik Phantasy's are always there, and then the usuals. That's why I go to so many car shows that are a few hours away because there's variety. The longest I ever drove was to Bimmerfest East in 2003, 7 hour drive to Connecticuit.

I still have not been inside the baltimore conv. center. Can't make it still in the process to move to Columbia/Clarksville from Silver Spring

thats the biggest problem, the usual crap, small local shows are the same as the big shows, it gets old, fast

Never heard of those teams. Are they in the elite categories?

Tonk

Not always in the elite categories, but sometimes. Don't get me wrong, most of them are very respectable cars, but I don't want to pay $25 to see the same cars over and over again. I'd say Vivid Images is the best overall club because they all have body kits, a lot of engine work, and a lot of interior work. FX is based more on nice paint jobs, air bags, and huge rims. If you've gone to any shows in the Baltimore area, I'm sure you've seen at least a few of their cars. Here are their websites:

Ok, I decided I'm gonna go to this. I'm not gonna be in the show, but maybe I'll see some of you down there. Also, is there anything going on after the show? Anyone going to any racing spots or anything like that?

ferraristyle
09-21-2004, 10:42 PM
Yea, what's going on after the show? Any after parties or the such? I would think someone would have something set up at Baja or Power Plant Live.

Anyway, I'm registered an participating in the mild class with the Spec V. Should be an interesting event. I'm sure I'll see some of you guys there.

Let's hope it's better the third time around. Despite the turnout or the quality of the show, I'm ready to have a blast. Put your negative attitudes aside and just have fun! :)

When are all the show cars leaving the building? Saturday night or Sunday morning? What time? I want to be there to get some pics of the cars in motion.

(Since there are two threads on the same exact topic, I posted this message on both of them. Feel free to respond to either, or both.)
