ran a 280whp srt4

sunday night i was cruisin and an orange srt4 rolls up on me a and i tell him to pull over. so we talk for a bit and decide to go run, we went from a dig and from a 20 punch. both times i had him by about a length through first gear(to about 50-55) and he came by pretty quick after that and put about 2 lengths on me by 100. so he wooped me pretty good but it was fun, i knew i was gonna lose because before the race he told me it dyno'd at 280whp and 310lb ft of torque and was boosted to 19psi. srt4s are the only chrysler products i like, and i ypust to hate them but im really starting to see their aftermarket potential.

SRT-4s are great, cheap, fun cars! And sometimes, they can be pretty reliable. There are a bunch that run 400WHP+ daily and still are holding mighty strong.

i was in my truck,it ran pretty good at one point but its probably only getting about 280-290hp to the wheels right now. thats all about to change though, i just sold my caddy about an hour ago, so i got some money to play with(heads, drag radials, rocker arms, .580 lift roller cam, etc.). i got the dudes number and told him i wanted to run him again soon, it WILL be a totally different race unles he mods his between now and then.

what has yours dynoed at? ill take on any srt-4 as soon as my motor goes into a chevy luv or possibly a ford courier, i cant decide which, but it will be done before the end of the year.

I had to say it before anyone else did. I respect all fast cars, no matter what their platform is. I think it's great when people look down upon and talk bad about srt-4's cuz "it's still a neon", yet they're losing races to the "neons" in their f-bodies, cobras, vettes, vipers, etc. Much love to the underestimated and often disrespected!

I saw a 10 second run of a srt4 on nitrous....it backfired every gear change.....lol.

IDK what was done to this one I saw, but it had slicks, prolly stage 3, and was spraying nitrous.....I never saw him run off the spray though.....lol. Now the remote turbo LS-1 T/A that was there was pretty cool.....sounded insane! Plus he was shutting off early and running 12's.....he was seriously letting off inbetween the 1/8 and 1/4.....lol.
