as for the Bimmer hes got a laundry list of stuff hes getting done to it i mean were talkin all out show car. his rims are going to be 19x11 w/ a 5inch lip in the back, Video cameras w/ 1-touch redcording everything like that. He is a part of DTMpower so alot of them know him

the benzinos out of the calendar were all real. have seen the chrome clk in stuttgart. afaik the chrome was like vinyls. the company made them for benz only. the sad thing is that the cars lastet about 3 months and then the "chrom" was destroyed.

That would be insanely expensive,
In oz, it was going to cost me just on $800 to spray my 17" wheels. The chrome spraying setup costs close to 10 grand for the spray shop to set up, so there would be mass surcharges applied on top of labour to do it.

It reminds me of the dick in sydney that got his S2000 engine sprayed in 18 carat gold. He can only drive the car for 45 minutes at a time otherwise the gold melts off. What a waste,

Chrome is MUCH more sensible :)

that bmw doesnt have a full widebody kit, it just has fender flares.
10 grand to setup is very very steep. i think they were just trying to screw people. a whole chrome paint job on a car will cost a little under 4grand for the primer, chrome paint, and topcoat and say around 4 grand exactly if you want tinted clearcoat to make the chrome a different color. The primer and clear coat both go on with the same guns they do normal paint with and the chrome goes on with a specail machine and in no way cost 10grand to setup. The only problem with this is it will take about a week before the car is completely dry and be able to drive. :beerchug:

ohh electroplating, i thought you were talking about the chrome spraying, chrome spraying isnt alot of money at all. check this out its tinted chrome spray and it costs a little under 4 grand for all the paint, primer, clear, and tint and whatnot, the machine to do it costs 5 grand (one time fee) so if you already have it you dont need to include it in the cost
