just bought age of empires 3 and the damn thing doesn't work wtf my computer is only a month and a half old it's something to do with the graphics cause the people don't show up and the buildings don't show up. it also keeps closing and says that AOE encountered a problem. anyone have this and it works or know how to fix it i always have bad luck with pc games

lol, IDK, maybe it didn't install properly......try reinstalling it, or your graphics card may not be powerful enough to run it, I ordered my laptop to be a gaming monster, so I should be good for games for another year or so....... :laugh:

this is use to happen to me when i had an older AOE game..Everytime i started the game it would tell me it encountered a problem and would shut down..I was told it was a graphics card problem...my comp is a POS

yea i uninstalled it and reinstalled it a couple of times i went to the AOE website and found a whole list of problems with the game. i never had any problems with the other AOE games which is wierd i don't know I hope to figure it out soon

Figured it out and for anyone that is going to get this game if it doesn't work right when you install it go to www.ageofempires.com and download the upgraded version 1.0-1.5

i haven't played or heard of rise of nations so i couldn't tell you but i played a quick game last night of AOE and it's definatly worth getting i got the collectors edition

I've played AOE II and that game kicked ass.

Rise of nations is about the same principal as the AOE, and I think it is by microsoft as well, I got really big into Empire Earth series after aoe II......lol. I will prolly get this game sometime in the near future....lol
