So yeah, had a couple of races up here in the great white north (hey, it's like -10 right now). Nothing really impressive. Just some cocky kids that thought they could walk on a "slow little civic"...
First up was a '03 GTI VR6:
I was just cruising around on the highway one night and I come up on a black GTI VR6. I go by him, it's a kid, and out of no where, the kid punches it. So I'm like, WTF, but I'm bored, so I catch back up and pull even with him and put it in 3rd. He downshifts again and we both take off. I instantly pull 3 cars on him before I slow down. He wants another shot. Line up in 3rd, I slow down even more and give him a car length before we both gun it. I fly by him before 3rd is over and pull another 3 cars on him. I slow back down and he does a ricer fly by. :D
Up next, 02 Mustang V6:
I know, it's a V6, I don't have to prove anything. But this one was too good to pass up. Some gangster, white boys (got their seats all the way back, one hand on the wheel shit), in a cactus green V6 mustang with an exhaust with a gold tip! We're at a stoplight turning onto a nice 4 lane road. After we make the turn, I pull up next to them and they both look over and he revs at me. I don't do anything but put it in second and wait for them to go. Well, they think they're hot shit and gun it and I lay into it as well. Not only do I light up my tires all the way through second and third but I leave them a good 4-5 cars back.
Finally, 04 VW Beetle Turbo S:
On my way to school this morning, I was on the highway and this dude in a beetle was tailgating my ass. Not just normal tailgating, but like following my lange changes and shit. But, once traffic opened up, he blew by me and threw on his flashers. I wasn't even on it. So I pull back up on him, I see an "Turbo S" badge on it, he kind of grins at me, I put it in 3rd and wait for him to go. Well, he does thinking he'll "walk" me like he did before, but yeah, just like the others, he's only seeing the back of my car pulling further and further away from him. Well, I wanted to play some more, but he stayed back and took his exit. :D
I'm thinking about going to to T-67 in the 240 so the t3/t04e 57-trim may find its way into my civic. I love driving the civic every day but I want to prey on some faster cars like 'Vettes, modded Camaros and the like. Plus, the 240 will really just be a track car and even though 250+hp in the civic right now is fun, I wonder how 350+hp would feel.
