View Full Version : Blazer vs. Neon

On my home from school today I pull up at a light and this guy in a Neon...not an SRT-4, just a plain old Neon. Probably had a hole in the exhaust because it was loud and I could hear it over my system. He revs at me and I do what everyone does and goes "why the hell".
Now this will go down as the lamest street race in history...a 190hp Blazer vs. a 130-ish hp Neon. Light goes green and he spins the tires because its wet, I ease the gas so I actually go forward. I beat him off the line and when I hit 70...in a 55, I backed off and he shoots past me and throws the hazards on. I laughed and made sure to catch up to him at the next light and show him that I'm faster then him again. Once again I beat him and then I call it a day because gas is 2.15 a gallon and I'm not the one for wasting it.
Moral of the story...how do you explain to someone you lost to a Blazer? It's a BLAZER! It's aerodynamic as a brick, the engine dates back to the 80's, and it weighs a ton and a half plus some.

Guess so, but the car was completly stock...my Blazer is mostly stock and all stock under the hood because a K&N drop in doesn't count.
Hazards FTW....literally............anyways I saw you said gas is $2.15 a gallon.......wanna ship me some?...............

Sure but I think it's illegal...I'll just tell the UPS man it's drugs or home brewed alcohol.

Because well maintained S10 blazers with the Vortec 4.3 can haul some ass for how big and heavy and not aerodynamic they are. Just be careful with the transmission. Cause all the S10 blazers get a small trans fluid leak and nobody notices, then 2 weeks later you gotta overhaul your trans. It's $200 in parts and $2000 labor if you take it somewhere.

[offtopic]? I bought 93 octane for $2.189 this morning. Nice kill, btw. Show the weiners what's up. I beat an eclipse once, and everyone made fun of him for losing to a sedan.
