This is a Japan only game. Which makes me sad. Its kind of a combination of Gran Turismo (control response feel), Tokyo Extreme Racer (car customization), and Initial D Arcade ("tracks")

The game takes place on the Touge, where during the day there is sanctioned races where you can compete against one another. At night is illegal racing. Same tracks but there is obvioulsy less light. Tons of car. etc. etc. Actual tuning companies from Japan. As a plus all the track are actual roads that you can drive on if you go to Japan.

i saw this in a playstation magazine WAY back like 2003, but it said it was gonna be released in the US, i would love to play it... the closest i got to a game like this was an Initial D arcade game... it was fuckin sweet

Kaido Battle 2 was supposed to come here. But the delivery date was the day they canceled it. Now they released the 3rd one like 6 months ago. And this time they have some Tokyo downtown courses and stuff. Its a really big game. And it actually has a story

The game is developed by the same people who did the tokyo extreme racer series. I want to get my hands on a copy of this.

i have the game (2). got it in vietnam.Sadly everything is in japanese and its hard sometimes o know whats going on considering the game is on fans (they post bulletins in forums and email you and stuff) the physics are a little weird (if you played tokyo and knew how the turning sucked) its kinda like this in the game. the car selection is good and the mods are nice as well. im still stuck with some mitsu right now since i cant win this challenge (the only other one is to race one of my fans which has a s2k and owns me) so im trying to save up for a mini cooper (cheapest car thats decently fast.) If you dont know japanese, your gonna have a harddd time gettin through the game.

I know the us version will never happen, which sucks. Can you get some screen shot of the game for me? I really want to see what it looks like.
