I was on my way home from school on 270 heading west just getting on the highway. I get in the far left lane crusing at about 70-75mph. I see a 1993-98 integra GS-R with a body kit and rice tail lights fly up on my ass and pass me to the right. It was a chick driving. I downshifted into 3rd and gunned it and easily caught up. I got her to slow down to about 60 roll. I gave 3 honks and we were off. She pulled instantly but once I hit 6200 my lift kicked in and i started walking her. By 110mph in 5th I had about 6 car lengths or more and I shut down only to get a ricer fly by.

Either that or not fully trying, I come out of 4th at 130mph (@ 6000rpm, limiter is set at 7850rpm (6000rpm is start of redline)) and i have been beaten by a Celica it did say TRD on it though, 130mph is also where my speedo ends lol. It had a 1.4 in it so i dont think Vauxhall ever expected it to do over 130mph lol

And whats a ricer? I have asked before but i think its basically what we call a boy racer someone who drives a shity car (although it may look good) but just aint anywhere near as fast as the seem to think like a body kit, alloys and some stickers make there car do 0-60 in 3s 175mph and a 1/4 in 9.98s @ 200mph like this for instance with its 1.0 8v 55bhp engine

(this may well be the 1.6 16v version but its just an example)

how can you be sure it was a GSR? the only way to tell is with that little badge on the right rear, and that can also say special edition.

no you cant. LS's have wings, any one can put the gsr rims on a car, and the ONLY badge is that little one under the right tail light, and looks EXACTLY the same as Special Edition badge.

plus a GSR Tops out 4th at 120. and the Secondarys open up at 5700ish(i believe)

Lift (vvtl-i) is just the toyota version of vtak, vanos, mivec, or whatever else you want to call it. The rocker arms change position at whatever rpm to increase lift to adjust when/how long the valves stay open and I believe the timing becomes a bit more aggressive. Basically, it allows the car to make power with an aggressive cam setup while still maintaining driveability around town at lower rpms. Honda has been using this technology since the late 80's I believe.

that explains it. It is somewhat different from vtec

very true, I didn't want to get really technical cause I was in class when I typed that. Every manufacturer has their own technology, but they all do the same thing a different way. It's a good way for manufacturer's to make sporty cars cause they can maintain good driveability and gas mileage while still having an aggressive cam setup for when you really want to jump on it.

yeah its definitly cool how its designed, I can manage 40mpg highway driving normal. My car really lacks low end power but once i get a supercharger that will change lol
