If you wanna know about Rallys, youve come to the right place..I take it youve never seen a Teck movie though if your asking if theyve done something like The Gumball..Besides money for the entry fee, you also need extra money for plenty of gas. Keep in mind your going to be working the engine harder, burning more gas..Your also going to need money for good along the way..Its not like your going to have time to stop at a IHOP..You also might wanna have some money for tickets and some money to bail one of you out of jail just incase..The event isnt for your everyday person, granted some people do have the money to entry, not everybody has the money for the supplies needed along the way. Also keep in mind you are going to be running the vehicle for a long time, at time speeds. Your going to want to make sure the vehicle is running properly before you start. Your going to be putting a long of stress on the car. Theres my lil run down about a rally..If you guys enter, theres nothing else to do but have fun..

have you participated in an event like this? the organizers from UL have mentioned that they are in talks with either shell canada, or petro canada, and that all particpants will be receivin 50% off gas. thats a pretty cool thing. n yea i kno, we're aware of the money its gonna cost us. but hey, if the gumball has been so successful, why cant it happen in canada. we're one of the wealthiest countries in the world, but everyone juss seems to over look it.

Ive never done an event like this, no...But some members here have done plenty of rallys like this..Its not about if your country has money or not, its about if you can get the people to enter the event. Not everybody is going to throw out that kind of money on an event for the first time..You have to prove something for the first time before you can gain a name for yourself and get people to want to join your rally..The gumball is a lot different. Its been around for years. Its a major event. When people join the gumball, they know what they are getting, they know about the parties, they know about the good time they are going to have. Nobody knows anything about this event yet, which will cause a lot of people to not want to spend the money on something that could turn out to be a waste..Not saying the event is, but ya know

I think it's a question of the cities involved. The parties and the cities seen are a big part of the rallies, and who wants to party it up in Saskatoon? Does Saskatoon even have a five-star hotel? lol. Don't get me wrong, I used to live in Vancouver, and to this day it's the most beautiful city I've ever seen, but if you drive east, there's really nothing to see until you get to Toronto.

I dont know . That website seems shady. Every thing is the most this and the most that. It has empty pages or hyperlinks that dont match up. Ive never heard of that magazine before, and I wouldnt expect to if the subscribers have a pre screening to make sure that they have between 3 mil and 10 mil. I personally dont know any multi millionaires that would tell a frickin magazine theyre net worth or theyre annual per capita. It just reads like its trying to hard and I've seen many rallys go down in flames that had a half assed looking website. Not hating, trying to be a dick, and I really dont care if u posted in 3 different sections. Something about it feels fishy.

ill agree with most of you. i know for a fact that the parties in vancouver, toronto, and montreal and gonna b insane. ive partied in those cities and the clubs r ill. calgary and winnipeg, i was a lil worried. but i checked out clubzone.com to see what clubs they got going there, and man, theyre not as dry as you think. also, once we signed up, the organizers had let us kno that they are working on in tlaks with blackeyed peas, massari, dj tiesto and paul van dyk. i dont care what city u find your self in, if ure in any club in the world and dj tiesto is spinning beats, my friend ure gonna have an insane time lol. and to the guy who asked if saskatoon has 5 star hotels, i dont kno lol. but the 5 cities we're reachin do, theyre all fairmont hotels.
you know, i was also skeptical about these guys and their website, but u kno, sometimes u just gotta take a chance and give people a shot. u cant constantly b thinkin that everyone in this world is tryin to screw you. from my experience so far, these guys seem pretty legit. but only time will tell. im sure within the next few weeks, as sponsors continue to sign deals with those folks, maybe then we can all be a happy trusting family. lol

... i know for a fact that the parties in vancouver, toronto, and montreal and gonna b insane...
Then maybe you can help us understand the vagueness of the website. What clubs do they have on the itinerary right now? What are some of these "most exclusive" places? I mean, you and your dad have already paid for this - they should have at least given you more information in some sort detail.

the website seems like its more hype then information... Top MC's and Top DJ's.... well do these "top" people have names? i guess it would be fun to do if i had the money to blow, but this event seems a lil to much hype not enough deliver

once again i can understand you guys r skeptical, i was too. they told us they are in talks with blackeyed peas, dj tiesto, massari, and paul van dyk. but they obvisouly cant OFFICIALLY book performers or clubs because the FIA has not released the dates for the montreal grand prix... theyve stated in my participant package that once these dates are finalized in aug 2006, the name of performers and clubs will b listed.

Sounds kinda fish to me.
You'd never be able to get into an exclusive in Montreal the night before Molson... Not unless you're uber-vip multimillionaire. Some unestablished sounding rally that has "400 vehicles" and doesn't permit anyone who has sponsors on their cars?
They'd decline me for having a tire sponsor then...
They won't be able to get you 50% off of fuel, they probably couldn't get you 50% off of the profit region of fuel. Most of the fuel costs here in Canada are TAX, just like the US. The Canadian government isn't going to sponsor a rally, sure we'll close a road or two if you throw enough money at us.
I hate to know what kind of "VIP party" it would be here in Calgary or Winnipeg, we don't have any high class clubs, and Winnipeg has dance bars, not clubs.
Why you have to be 21 is also beyond me as legal age is 19 in Ontario/Quebec and 18 everywhere else AFAIK.
And by the way, getting Massari, Tiesto, Massari, Van Dyk and BEP aren't a big deal.
They've all been here in Calgary, all more than once. Tiesto is a $50,000 one night deal, big fuckin deal.
Maybe when a huge name signs a sponsor with them, and doesn't ask your personal net worth, I might apply. And that would only be if I could leave my sponsor stickers on my car.

Understatement.
Chase vehicles and helicopters?
I'm sorry, but is there going to be a convoy of avgas trucks stopping along the way?
Helicopters don't have tanks like an aeroplane. A helicopter travelling 100mph won't be able to go 1300km.
The "endurance" of a A119 Koala is 5 hours and 45 minutes. Calgary to Regina is 8 hours doing the limit, say you do almost double, which is very unsafe on most of that highway... that's 5 hours. Also, a portion of the highway you would take is UNDIVIDED! So back to my case in point about the helicopter... Someone care to explain that to me? Seriously, this is one of the things I would LOVE to know. Sure, the helicopter can go 1000km, which is further than Calgary-Regina, but that's at cruise speed... Which is 245km/h! That's 150MPH.
I'm sorry, but I'll again get into the debate that, there's no way in fuck the GOC would let 200 vehicles haul ass across Canada at 150MPH. Our "justice" system isn't so leniant. It is quite literally, guilty until proven innocent. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, your car will be impounded, and likely auctioned/crushed...
I hate to sound bitter, but this is reality.
If they pull over one punk kid doing 200km/h in his Camaro, they will probably consider not crushing your car, and suspend your license. But if there's 60 of you one after another, they're going to tell you to fuck off!

firstly you can be sponsored if you contact them first.
about the 50% off gas, if theyre a sponsor, they would do that. instead of paying money for a sponsorship package, theyd just give gas discounts. you go on here acting like youre an authority on this stuff man.
no one said anything about the canadian government sponsoring this event you moron.
and if you knew youre shit, there are actually classy clubs/lounges in calgary and winnipeg.
and you dont think tiesto and van dyk are big acts?!? theyre the # 1 and 2 dj's in the world you idiot! tiesto is a 86k USD act!
and you say ure gonna apply if a huge sponsor signs on?!? hahahahaa, wat r u gonna drive? your MEGA CAB!?! my lil sisters car will eat you up man.... shes fuckin 17 and her m3 will kill your car. dont act all bad thinking you can get in the event, you'll never be able to afford it.
and i dont even want to know how you know so much about helicopters lol. buddy, you need a life. maybe get a better job, by yourself a sick car, then come join me in this event lol.
and if the gumball can work in the USA where the police will chase speeders, it will work in canada where cops wont chase you.
im out for now, but until next time... get a good paying job, or win the lottery and then maybe ill let u race ma lil sis... but until then, dont think you can hang wit us big boyz!!! lol

so apparently your google broke
why dont you find out what happened to the Gumball Canada that was supposed to happen here in september, from Montreal to out west somewhere.
it was cancelled because of pressure by police agents from all provinces as well as the government of Canada
and cops dont chase speeders? what do they do sit on their polar bears and save ppl from burning igloos.

Once a chase gets out of hand in Canada, they lay out stingers. And shut down highways.
They had a cop killed here in Calgary, because the speeder tried to go around the spikebelt.
Not that what I make matters, but I do oilfield consulting, and make stupid money. Want to know why I drive a one ton? Because my job requires me to drive a pickup truck. A pickup truck, which, by the way, costs more than a corvette to drive off the lot here in Alberta. A truck which has enough done to it to make it cost more than a brand new M3.
If I wanted a Ferarri instead of a house, I'd have a Ferarri. Your sister might be 17 with an M3, but I'm 19 with two houses.
Tiesto is so overplayed and burnt out that no one even wants him to come anymore. People who are big in the scene don't want the #1 and #2 djs in the world, they want headliners who give a shit.
Oh, and just FYI I know a lot about helicopters because I almost bought into a diamond mining transport company that flies guys in and out.
By the way, do me a favour and name these "pimp clubs" in Calgary and Winnipeg, I want to tell the club owners that their clubs got called pimp in comparison to something like Boa in Toronto, they'll think I'm being funny and laugh.
Once a big "cannonball style run" happens in Canada, without getting cancelled, I'll believe it will happen.

I have seen spam before, and even done some spamming back in the day.
We know you are part of this so called Rally, it doesn't matter if you own it or want to go on it, you are still spamming our board.
Rally's in Canada will NEVER work because there is ONE police force that can and will shut everyone down.
