Thanks. I wish I could get to more shows. It sucks not having a trailer or a truck to pull a trailer with. I always seem to drive south for big shows. I REALLY wanna hit some shows north of NC sometime. :dunno:

Off the top of my head, the only ones that I can think of that are worth the drive from NC is Hyperfest in West Virginia and the Carlisle Custom Compact show in Pennsylvania.

yeah, I heard some serious shit went down at Carlisle or at the show that would have been at Carlisle. The cops banned them from having another event or something like that? Crazy. People need to learn how to act right. There's too much hate in the scene. Do shit for yourself, F what someone thinks. If they don't like it, don't try to drop a boot to somebody, laugh it off. I see guys come to shows without a car and you just know they are looking for a fight. There's no place for that. Maybe since people keep bringing fights to car shows/events, I'll drive my car through a boxing ring and take my car to a fight. :army1:

1 person always has to ruin it for the crowd. If you're gonna do stupid shit, atleast make it worthwhile and put it on a DVD for everyone to enjoy. [pop]

Carlisle Productions pulled the show out of Carlisle because the show was getting too wild. There was ALOT of underage drinking when they allowed camping, alot of underage drinking after the banned the camping, alot of hard asses stealing and messing up all over but mostly it was because of the underage as well as legal nudity and destruction of public property that got them. They LOVED having the show. The cops LOVED the tickets they passed out for improper lighting, having your neon kits on while driving, using your air bags in traffic, speeding...you get the picture. But, the nudity and the UADs got them the most negative exposure since it was kids and not raging rednecks like at the Truck National (same shit happens there...just with older people who should "know better"). Well, the nudity was there fault for selling Mardi Gras beads 10 for $2. There was tons of that shit going on all night. Plus all the burnouts and UADs and fights at the hotels. Tore up hotel parking lots. I remember waking up in the morning and the beer bottles and cans and food wrappers were all over the place, the whole parking lots were nothing but burnout marks and tore up from the stand still. It was like a 3 day long frat party...but doubleing and tripling the cost of staying there for 2 nights didn't help with the repair bills to the hotels. So, they moved it to Harrisburg, but from what I hear...it sucked ass, everyone got pissed and left. I know attendance was down and the price of admission went up and the classes were ALL KINDS OF FUCKED! But, that was our spot, you know? I will miss the old Carlisle shows, but if they can't handle a great party for 3 days a year, then fuck em. Some other town will take the abuse (and HUGE influx of dollars to local areas....) until they can't anymore and it will move again. Thus is the life of the greatest car show that ever was...at least in PA.
