Of course we're all car guys here, and I trust your opinions. Anyway, I've been trying to find something cheap that I can drive while I save for another car (WRX, etc.) How about this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2485609040&rd=1&sspage name=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT)?
The ultimate driff machine? Maybe if I like it. The price is definitely right. Carfax checks out OK. I know if I could fix the paint and body, add an LSD, suspension/rims, I could easily sell it for $3-4Ks. Input?

I know but those are surprisingly hard to come by in my area, for some reason. The major selling points to ricers of the 240SX is an engine swap. Main selling point of this car is the relative rarity of the chassis.
Believe me, if there were any 240s in my area, I'd be all over it.

I got a buddy with a 240SX and he just got it dyno'd yesterday, 370 at the wheels. but this saterday he is trading it for a integra typr-r. needs something that is more relieable.

I'd spent a little more on a car in better condition...but if there is none, I'd go for that one and get my hands dirty. :D

I've always been interested in auto mechanics, and I figure this engine is pretty simple, OBD0 and would be easy for me to learn on. Plus replacement engines are relatively cheap... Just like any car, I could keep it like it is or go wild.
I'm not too hot about Miatas, just a little too small for me. They don't look bad with a hard top, and I'd bet one would raise some eyebrows when that rotary exhaust filled their ears.
i allways loved the 240 but maybe a 1g eclipse gsx or talon awd?

Pontiac Fiero.
Do a buick 3800 swap, or a SBC swap. Should be able to keep it under 5K.
Automatic if you want to survive the SBC.

hahahaha no wonder it says "Item no longer listed". I recommend a 240 bro, but get what you want.
