Sony VX2100 vs PD170

For better quality at night and day, which is better? any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.

man, both cameras are the same really. the pd170 records in dvcam, so it records better, but the optics are the same in both. oh, and the audio will be better in the pd170 because it's xlr unit. But for the price, i'd say go with the 2100, which you can find on the internet for well under a grand under book value.
