Saved this post back at DTMPower...this is what Dustin had to say

I just watched Mischief for the first time in a year. It brought back a lot of memories. Here are some unknown facts about the original Mischief...

- About 45% of the footage in Mischief was taken from a low volume movie that I made in college called "ACCLR8". "ACCLR8" contained about 75% of another movie called "No Limitz" - my first movie ever. Actually, "No Limitz" was the first movie in the US to document the import scene back in 1998.

- The random chicks flashing and skateboarding in Mischief was taken from 2 skateboard movies that Sean produced while he owned Pornstar clothing.

- Mischief was completed in 3 weeks. I had the footage lying around and put something together for Sean to look at back in 2002. It was put onto the market before I was able to re-edit it and touch it up. It was so raw that I was very surprised that it did so well.

- Auto Abuse - My brother and I rented the Accord (in the bonus section of Mischief) while out in Vegas for one day. We then rented the Maxima the second day. The Maxima lasted one hour before I put a hole in the transmission. I told the rental place that I hit a tool box on a highway and it pulled me off the road into a ditch. The story was so stupid that they actually believed me.
Daniel and I then flew to LA and rented the Explorer. That same night, we drove to San Diego to check out the street races. The street races sucked so I decided to put on a little stunt show for a few friends. That's when I jumped the truck and almost killed myself. A security guard saw the whole jump and called the police. The police came but the security guard couldn't speak English. I ended up doing the explaining and talked my way out of a trespassing ticket. I ended up bending the whole truck and cracking a wheel.
Oh btw, the person chewing me out the whole time while I tore up the rentals was Daniel.

- The R1 top speed run was done in New York. It took place over 6 years ago!

- There are 2 versions of Mischief on the market. I actually touched Mischief up late last year when it was released together with 2 Fast 2 Furious. The newer version has an better intro, better title graphics, and the song for the Detroit autoshow is different.

- I misspelled the first title "Our Nation's Capital." The correct spelling is Capitol with an "o".

- The "Out Run" in the Audi S4 was not staged. It was shot while on the Super Street tour in 1998. My friends in the Audi passed a state trooper on the shoulder and took off. They got off an exit and hide on a farm for an hour. They also hide the camera and never recorded their whole escape. Amateurs!

- The part where I am hiding my MX6 in the dumpster was not fake. My friend (Probe) and I were showing a couple guys from "Stuff" magazine the DC street races for a story that they were doing. After we drove out of the dumpster fence, the "Stuff" guys wanted to stay and wait for the races to start up again. The police showed up an hour later and surrounded us. I ended getting a $40 ticket for unsafe parking on a street.

- The white Lamborghini Countach that races the Supra in the bonus section was owned by a old high school friend of mine. After the scene was shot, my friend did a bunch of donuts and broke the car. The repair bill was $10,000! The car is now owned by Nicholas Cage.

- Finally...the most talked about scene in Mischief is where the guy in the Jetta is being attacked. Here's the story. Two stock cars were racing. A Camary and a Focus. The Jetta was coming down the street while the 2 cars were racing and messed the race up. The Camary ends up making a U-turn and pulls in front of the Jetta. One of the guys in the Camary jumps out and confronts the guy in the Jetta. The guy in the Jetta freaks out and drives the car forward into the back of the Camary. That's when all hell breaks loose. Well the case went to court and the guy who attacked the guy in the Camary was found guilty of attempted murder or something like that. He went to jail.

Thats about it. I hope you guys liked the info. A little history on Mischief. I am so damn tired from writing. Time to sleep...

Interesting, thanks for posting that up Micah. I've been a fan since '02, too bad I never went online back then, I would of registered at DTMPower. Watching Mischief brings back alot of memories, I remember when it first came out I couldn't stop watching it. Seems so long ago. I was kinda like.....star struck when I saw Dustin at HIN Boston in '03, lol I was like "holy shit it's Dustin", had no clue he would be there. And that's where I got my copy of Mischief 3000. Dustin and everybody within Teckademics, you guys rock, keep up the great work.

I was introduced to Mischief via a bootleg internet copy on a CD some kid made like year before I even met him. It was the best shit I had ever seen! We watched it twice and we got online right after to find out who had it in stock. None of the Best Buys had it in stock. Circut City had it, but it was like 30 miles away...and it was snowing out...bad...and we had a lowered S-10 pick up and a Neon on balding RS-As...so we headed out the next day and got "the other DVD of thiers" as the guy put it. Mischief 3000. It's been years now and I have a TON of Mischief DVDs, memorbillia, have gone to the Destroy premiere, convinced several mom n' pop video stores to stock Mischief DVDs, and met Dustin and Daniel twice now. Both of which will stopped what they were doing to shake my hand and sign my DVDs at the last Carlisle that was actually held in Carlisle.

I believe Daniel won that race. I remember the two of them arguing about it on the General Discussion board awhile back, and Dado always coming back with hilarious jokes against Daniel.

1. I will never tell.

2. The guy was driving on a new section of highway and didn't know that there was a sharp curve before the traffic light. Came up on the turn too fast and flipped.

3. Some young cop did the burnout at Nopi in 1998. We never asked him to do it. He just did.

4. I don't think I knew Dado back then. Daniel wasn't with me.
