ran a turbo civic hatch

so thursday afternoon johnny black (a friend of mine) and I were driving around looking for some rice to pick on.... and we run into a red civic hatch with an intercooler smiling out, so we pull out from the shopping plaza and chase after it. car was clean and didnt even have a ricey exhaust, we get up next to him and ask him how many pounds of boost he is running. he looks at us and just shrugs :dunno: i ask him if he is pushing around 9 pounds, he says "something like that". so im like what does it run? he says it ran a 12.6 a lil while back. so we both play a lil on 436, then turn onto aloma, and too much traffic, so he asks if we want to hop on the highway.... i say sure :evil:

so we finally get to the 417 and we line up and i give 3 honks and we both take off. and i pulled him pretty well about 5 or 6 cars. then we line up a second time and we run again and i pulled him a lil harder, couldnt tell how hard i pulled him cause i was watching the road but johnny black said it was pretty hard about 6 or 7 cars. it was some really good runs.

after we ran i asked him if he wanted to get off the highway and talk a lil, so we did and he was a pretty nice guy. it was a fast civic but wasnt expecting the ls1 american muscle

How long were ur runs? I'd expect a 12 sec Civic Hatch to atleast stick with u. U def have the off the line advantage, but i'd expect the civic to atleast close the gap as u guys sped up....I'd assume you guys took off from a roll since u were on the highway, so that woulda been in the Civic's favor.....a 12 sec Civic ain't runnin' 9 pounds. Either this kid lied about his ET, or has serioulsly detuned his setup since his 12 sec run........Not tryin to rain on ur parade or anything....a kill is a kill..... congrats........

Maybe he ran a 12.6 on race gas with slicks and a different ECU program. But nonetheless, good kill.

he did it with slicks yes, but all the rest was the same setup, we went from a roll to about 120-130 and i was pulling him harder all the way through.



but yet again my car is capable of alot more than 12.6

i believe it was a b16 but again this was years ago. its funny though, when i ran him i couldn't get better than a 12.6 less than a few months later i got my car into the 11's where i knew it should have been.

The second you bring up a street race your automatically considered an asshole or worthless. but watching dado drive ont he shoulder is cool, just dont do it here or ull get blasted. The street racing image teckademics created is dead now, replaced by how some lambos and other exotics can go cruise around together and how rich ppl modify their cars. so go ahead and ban me. I'll just go watch IMV films instead, theyre quality is far better, and actually documents street racing, not some rich people rallying across the country. (rob and dado are still fucking nuts tho)
