So I don't have the coolest car in the world, but I do for one love my stereo that I have put together for my car. I have spent well over $1100 over the past year in stereo upgrades. Heres the list:

Kenwood KDC 722 Deck
6 1/2 Infinity Reference Series Mids and Tweeters in the front
6 1/2 Alpine Type S Mids and Tweeters in the rear
Pheonix Gold Octane R Amp (To the door speakers)
15' MTX Thunder8000 Series
Kenwood KAC-829 600 watt amp to the sub
Tsunami Silencer in the trunk
All Pheonix Gold Wires

Everything was installed by probably the best custom audio stereo store in Oregon (Hear No Evil)

Heres my system:
- 2 Rockford Fosgate 15in. subs in custom box.
- 2400 watt Rockford Fosgate amp
- Scosche Pro wiring kit
- Sony CDX-M8800 Head Unit w/ remote
- Bass Boost controller
- Dynamat trunk kit
- ...waiting on my end caps for the amp. They make it look much cleaner and clean up the wires to come out of one opening so you dont see all that mess.

Worth well over $2000, you can hear me comin from far away. They hit so hard that I'm only running them at half power. If i were to run them at full power it would make me go deaf or shatter my back windshield... What do ya think?

dude i would pick the new mtx 9500 over anything. They did a test and it never blew after a w7 blew and some other subs blew also.

how do rockfords suck? i do agree that jl w7's are better, but i dont have $750 to spend on one sub, not to mention the amp... my shit hits so hard and clear, crushes in spl contests. im just turned 17 too. yeah and to run two w7s, you woulnd need at least an amp that runs at 3000watts rms, not to mention and extra battery. your lights would be flickering.

A guy at from work got a second job to afford his "system." He drives a Chrysler New Yorker... old person car... He's kindof a poser, talking about making it rear drive with a 305 and so on. Anyway apparently his system put out enough bass to rattle the springs loose in his trunk's lock cylinder. I laughed at him.

At one point I had 2 MTX6000s and MTX4250D amp. They're still sitting in the garage, collecting dust.

Believe it or not I have a system in my porsche :)
10" Audiobahn amp powered by an MTX 421d thunder amp w/ tsunami capaciter
and an alpine headunit of some sort (headunit came with the car)
