I will post everything in one big post so there is no confusion. But to sum it up REALLY quick...

Regular size ZIppo lighter.
"Black Ice" chrome style (chrome lighter with a black see through coating)
Teckademics Tuned logo with large ching pao etched on the front face
First 50 for group buy, second 50 to be sold in the store
$27 shipped...not too awful, but a few bucks more than I was hoping...about $5 more than your usual lighter plus $2-$3 for shipping. USPS Priority Mail with insurance.
Anything additional...will be additional...well, duh!

I will post where to send your $$ soon. Delivery is gonna be sometime in mid to late October. The orders are gonna be taken through October 1st. They will hit the store just in time for the Christmas rush!

Can someone who is "in charge" of the store please give me a PM or an email reguarding the production of the Zippo lighters. I have to get "approval" from the powers that be to go forward with the project and I need/want written consent to use the "Teckademics Tuned" ching pao logo and I would also like to show you the options available to us via Zippo. Plus I need to know how many to make, should they be numbered, extras needed...that kind of stuff...I am not sure who I should be dealing with on this. Sean? Dustin? Steven?

BTW, I have 2 other sites that wanna do some cheap(er) lighters in a similar way so a BIG group buy is possible. They are gonna do a chrome lighter, etched and painted in black with thier logo. Regular size. I want to take all 3 logos to Zippo and get them all back at the same time. I also want to have these ready by late October for Christmas delivery.

i remember seeing the Free Dado shirts, i wasnt aware those were made by a member and not Teckademics themselves...Good shit, i guess its pretty cool Teck lets people do that stuff depending on what it is...

And yea, if you get approval from Teck for the zippos, can you put me down for 2? If its gonna be limited 1 to person, then ill be happy with just the 1.

Actually the Free Dado shirts were made by the Players Run crew for the drivers of the event when Dado went through his Kansas ordeal. Tom (tdc) had spotted some extras that he had, and sold them on the board. He went on to gauge interest in another special run of them, but, as with everything else, everyone said they wanted one, yet nobody paid. So they didn't happen.

Another big thing a while back were these aluminum keychains that Driveway made for everyone. Their numbers are limited to about 50, so whoever has one on their keychain can call themselves a true TeckEast OG. Or whatever. lol

Driveway made banners for a while... Fitus made some HSR crest ones which I'm sure you've seen. I was going to make some side stickers for HSR, but only a couple sent in money and a major crisis (or 3) started in my life so I didn't make them in the end.

If this goes down, a special exclusive run for TE members only would probably be a good idea to boost sales for this. I'd pay extra for a special run. People paid a nuts price for Driveway's keychains (including myself and you) for their exclusive-ness (or whatever the word is).

Well, depending on the orders, I would like to offer special engraving or plaquing for an extra cost for like initials or special messages on the other side...it is really all up to whoever is in charge, really. There was once a thought of numbering them to make them even more of a collectors item. But I need to get this going ASAP if we can do it. If not, it will have to go to the wayside for now.

Neons.org is damn near ready to go with thier order. I just don't want to make 3 trips to Bradford to pick up the lighters if I don't have to. But, if you want to send them back to Zippo for extra engraving, you are welcome to! I think even Things Remembered in your local mall will do etching or engraving for a bit extra if you want to futher personalize them.

Now remember, these are Made in the USA, real Zippo lighters not some Chinese rip off trash. You can really use them, but if not, it makes a great display item.

Oh and I would LOVE to redo the plate frames and get some more infomation on a Teck keychain (cause I missed out on Driveway's dealy because I rarely had a chance to get on here back then...) $15 is too much for a little key chain like his. But, i ain't knockin it. At least he did it! I would like to have something similar done in the future, but I need Sean and Driveway to pass the torch to me to make it a go. But, that is a good LONG way off it does go that way. Again, I wanna make ALL of this stuff available via the Teck Store. But, I have yet to hear anything from the powers that be to tell me one way or another. Thus the use of this forum since I wasn't getting any responce in the Store forum.

Well, let me go to them with a 100 lighter order and see what the per unit cost is gonna be. We can do special orders from there, certainly. Butanes are available. Go check out thier site. www.zippo.com and see what you like. If you see something there that you want IN ADDITION to our order, I might be able to get you a discount on them since they will be bought all at the same time.

So, to recap, the lighters will be "Black Ice" regular lighters with an etched "Teckademics Tuned" ching pao logo. Very similar to the HKS lighters I posted before. I will get a price and get the group buy going ASAP.

Thanks for the help, and V, I will have your lighter done first for initial approval. I will also get more info on getting an initials or screen names engraved as an extra charge to further personailze your lighter.
